The Zebra DS9908-HD Series is a purpose-built imager for medical labs and pharmacies. The DS9908-HD is part of the DS9900 series of Hybrid Presentation imagers that improves workflow efficiency and accuracy. The DS9980-HD can capture all types of barcodes found in a lab first-time and every time, these include small, high density, curved and colour-coded. With its Hybrid design it can be used for both handheld and hands-free scanning with seamless switching between modes. With the option of an RFID model that combines barcode scanning with RFID capabilities, it can read tags on blood bags and other specimen samples.

The Zebra DS9908-HD Series has white illumination LEDs so it can easily read dense barcodes that are on microscope slides, curved barcodes on medicine bottles blood vials, barcodes on colour-coded specimen trays and biopsy cassettes. These scanners can deliver an unparalleled scanning performance with its 800 MHz microprocessor, megapixel sensor and exclusive PRZM Intelligent Imaging technology. The DS9900 Series has been designed with a small footprint, can be used for either handheld or hands-free scanning and can automatically adjust to whatever scanning range is required. The scanner can be used right out of the box, just plug it in and you are ready go, as the scanner is configured for common applications and auto-host detect cables automatically select the right host interface.
