 Description
The Netdriver The netdriver manages up to 255 satellites and acts as a Multi-plexer, storing up to 4KB of data. Drives the Satellite stations via high speed communications "Multi-drop polling". Also manages bi-directional data traffic between the network and host. The Satellite The satellites are data capture workstations. (Standard MasterBB+ decoders). Each has a specific address (e.g. 000, 001…..254). Connected satellites can be turned off without disturbing the network. The SM485 Adaptor This adaptor is a "T" box, connects the stations (Netdriver and Satellites) to the network line. All network exchanges are controlled by the SM485 adaptor. It manages the network protocol between the Netdriver and the Satellite. Comnet The communication cable. Stations are connected together via the COMNET cables. This cable conforms to the RS485 standard. Impnet The impedance adaptors are SUB-D 25 pin integrating a resistor. These are terminators. Two units are required for each network installation - one at each end
