The Opticon L-46 is a fast hand held scanner that is often used in service settings such as, healthcare for wristband scanning, retail for scanning products and scanning e-tickets from mobile phones at festivals or other social gatherings. The L-46 has been designed with cables that are interchangeable, so it can easily switch between USB or RS-232 interface. Because the cables are interchangeable, the scanner is versatile and is able to serve a broader audience.

Description:

The L-46 comes in two different settings, the L-46R and the L-46X, this is so you can have the hardware you require in your scanner. The L-46R is a laser barcode scanner and the L-46X is a 2D CMOS imager. The engine on both of these scan at a speed of a 100 fps or scans per second. To deliver an overall smooth scanning experience, they are both designed to perform strongly at moving object scanning and increasing the easiness of how the device scans. A complimentary stand comes with both versions, along with either an USB or RS-232 communication interface. The L-46 is a lightweight, versatile pistol grip scanner that weighs just 112 grams, its design is made to make the device feel balanced when used. The cables that are included are 2 metres long, this allows for some mobility and movement even when it is plugged in.
